ActiveTV has signed a new three-year broadcasting agreement with the Seven Network to Songs of the Domain.
The event celebrates its 40th anniversary this year on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at its original home, The Domain in Sydney.
Angus Ross, Seven Content Director, Entertainment Programming, said: “Woolworths Songs of the Domain is to bring Australians together at Christmas for a family evening of festive fun and well-being. We are delighted to extend our long and successful relationship with the iconic Australian event and look forward to bringing the festive magic to viewers with the spectacular 40th anniversary edition on Channel 7 and 7 later this year.
Michael McKay said: ‘Rated ‘Australia’s biggest Christmas party’, this year Songs promises a festive atmosphere in keeping with its big birthday parties. It will be the biggest Songs over the years, full of great caroling moments, spectacular fireworks displays and many surprises to help the nation get into the Christmas spirit.
“For the first time in the history of the event, Woolworths Songs of the Domain will be broadcast to a pay-per-view international audience, especially for all Australians living around the world.
Songs of the Domain supports the Salvation Army and attracts over 50,000 people to the field and a total national television audience of 1.05 million viewers.

The traditional “Seats For Salvos” fundraiser will take place on Friday, December 16.
