That the barber continues to see such deep anger and cruelty as Kendall’s peculiar and absorbing sense of humor characterizes the barber as well. I bet they was more laughin’ done here than any town its size in America.
If I had all that was comin’ to me for just shaves alone, I could go to Carterville and put up at the Mercer for a week and see a different picture every night. I have been taking some time off because I have been working on a new book on the short story.
